ADMMicro Energy Management Systems Installed in A.C. Moore Stores

Roanoke, Va. (Nov. 12, 2009) – ADMMicro, now a GridPoint company and a leader in sophisticated energy management systems (EMS), has recently installed comprehensive control and monitoring solutions at approximately 100 A.C. Moore retail stores.  A.C. Moore is a specialty retailer offering a wide array of arts, crafts, floral merchandise and custom framing to customers throughout the eastern United States.

Moore wanted to significantly reduce our store level energy expense while remaining focused on the comfort of our customers as well as the reduction of our carbon footprint on the environment.” said Kelly Radford, Director of Construction and Facilities for A.C. The ADMMicro system provides energy management, energy monitoring, and maintenance alarming for HVAC and lighting systems.  Looking forward, it also provides revenue-accurate metering for potential demand response programs and other sustainability initiatives for A.C. Moore.

A.C. Moore began deploying the ADMMicro system by adding the system to the prototype for all new stores and relocations during 2008 and kicked-off a 100-store rollout to select existing stores in early 2009, achieving immediate energy reductions through scheduled temperature and timing set points and lighting schedules.
