Peter L. Corsell, Chief Executive Officer

Peter L. Corsell is Chief Executive Officer for GridPoint and is responsible for the strategic vision and leadership of the company. GridPoint is the pioneer of an innovative software platform to address today’s energy challenges while aligning the interests of electric utilities, consumers and the environment. MIT’s Technology Review magazine has recognized Mr. Corsell as one of the world’s top innovators under age 35 for developing a practical solution to advance the development of a Smart Grid.

In 2003, Mr. Corsell founded GridPoint to create a technology that would fuel the mass adoption of renewable energy sources and increase energy efficiency. Today, GridPoint is working with electric utilities nationwide to create a clean and efficient 21st century grid. GridPoint applies information technology to the electric grid to enable utilities to incrementally adopt and customize smart grid solutions including energy efficiency, load management, renewable integration, storage management and electric vehicle management. To date, GridPoint has raised over $220 million in equity capital, including a large investment by the Goldman Sachs Group. The World Economic Forum selected the company as a Technology Pioneer in 2008.

Mr. Corsell’s commitment to the environment and society is also evident in his background and work outside of GridPoint. He is Chairman of the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on Sustainable Energy and a member of Newsweek’s Global Environment and Leadership Advisory Committee. He serves on Xcel Energy’s Smart Grid Advisory Board and the Corporate Board of the Environmental Media Association. Mr. Corsell also serves on the Board of Directors of Standard Renewable Energy, a leading provider of integrated renewable energy solutions, and Entech Solar, a developer of concentrating solar energy systems. Previously, he served with the U.S. State Department in Cuba and as a political analyst with the Central Intelligence Agency. Mr. Corsell holds a B.S. from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University.

Michael R. Lach, Chief Operating Officer

Michael R. Lach is Chief Operating Officer for GridPoint and is responsible for the operational development of the company and day to day execution across all departments. In a variety of leadership positions, Mr. Lach has demonstrated strategic vision, organizational development and consistent execution in areas including operations, engineering, IT, mergers and acquisitions, business integration, customer service, sales and marketing.

Previously, Mr. Lach served as President and Chief Operating Officer for NeuStar, a provider of clearinghouse and directory services to the global communications and Internet industry. There he reorganized the company, rebuilt the management team, and dramatically increased average overall revenue growth to 40 percent over five years before taking the company public in what was named 2005 Technology IPO of the Year.

Prior to NeuStar, Mr. Lach served as President, Network&Systems Services, for Winstar Communications, handling the engineering, construction, operations and information systems of Winstar’s broadband network for over 30,000 customers. Previously, he was responsible for Covad Communications’ merger and acquisition strategy and integration activities in his role as Executive VP, Corporate Development&Business Integration. Earlier in his career, Mr. Lach held various management positions at Ameritech, where as VP of Customer Provisioning&Maintenance he oversaw 12,500 employees and improved technician productivity by 15 percent. He holds a B.S. in industrial engineering from Purdue University.

Dale Bowen, Finance

Dale Bowen is responsible for managing the company's financial reporting, budgeting, tax and treasury operations. Mr. Bowen has over 15 years of experience in corporate finance in the data management and financial services industries.

Prior to GridPoint, Mr. Bowen served as corporate controller for ATP, the world leader in the collection and distribution of fares and fare-related data for the airline and travel industry. Previously, he was Director of Finance for ABR Information Services, which was acquired by Ceridian Corp. after several years of record growth and posting annual revenue in excess of $100 million. Mr. Bowen also co-founded a consulting firm that provided accounting and financial services to individuals and corporations.

Mr. Bowen holds a B.S. in business management from the University of Utah and a master's degree in financial economics for public policy from American University in Washington, D.C. Mr. Bowen is a Certified Public Accountant.

Michael J. Carlson, Smart Grid Operations

Michael J. Carlson is responsible for GridPoint’s smart grid operations. In this capacity, he leads the engineering, delivery, and enterprise solutions organizations. The former Xcel Energy Vice President and Chief Information Officer was a key player in designing and implementing the utility’s groundbreaking smart grid project, the $100 million SmartGridCity in Boulder, Colorado. Mr. Carlson has more than 24 years of experience in finance and technology, focusing his expertise in the application and delivery of technology to drive business value.

At Xcel Energy, Mr. Carlson was responsible for increasing the value that technology delivers to the organization by leveraging the utility’s IT portfolio, including both technology and process, across the company. Additionally, he was responsible for the utility’s Smart Grid strategy, and his organization included the Utility Innovations Group, which is the technology R&D function for Xcel Energy. Previously at Xcel Energy, he served as the Vice President for Business Transformation & Customer within Business Systems, after originally starting with the company as the Director of the Program Management Office.

Mr. Carlson joined Xcel Energy in 2002 from Arthur Andersen, LLP, where he was a practice director in the areas of technology integration and financial operations. In addition to his consulting experience, his background includes a number of financial and management positions within the medical industry, serving as CEO of a large medical practice and the CFO of a public laboratory services group. Mr. Carlson holds a B.S. in Accounting and Management Systems from Union College and an M.B.A. in finance from Pepperdine University.

John Clark, Electric Vehicle Management

John Clark is responsible for the development of electric vehicle management solutions as well as strategic relationships with auto manufacturers. Previously, he was President and Chief Executive Officer for V2Green, a leading smart grid technology company that controls the flow of electricity between the power grid and plug-in electric vehicles. At V2Green, which was acquired by GridPoint in 2008, he was responsible for the company’s strategic vision and leadership, with accountability for operational development and execution across all departments, and was actively engaged in closing new business as well as building critical alliances across both industry and government.

Mr. Clark is an experienced entrepreneur and executive, having held senior roles in operations & deployment, business development, and sales & marketing. Prior to V2Green, he was based in London as the Senior Vice President/Managing Director, Europe for TeleCommunication Systems (Nasdaq: TSYS), a provider of infrastructure and services to the wireless telecommunications industry. Under his leadership the company entered the European and Asia-Pacific markets, landed the largest software sale in the company’s history, successfully deployed systems globally and built a solid European pipeline for products and services.

Prior roles include Vice President, Operations & Deployment for Xypoint and Founder and President of Toll Free Cellular. Mr. Clark holds a degree in computer science and business administration magna cum laude from Western Washington University.

Tim Clark, Delivery

Tim Clark is responsible for the successful development and implementation of complex solutions for GridPoint's utility and corporate customers. Mr. Clark has over 18 years of experience in the Internet technology (IT) systems integration industry with deep expertise in requirements definition, design, testing, implementation, program management and methodology development.

Previously, Mr. Clark served as the head of professional services at Nextel Communications, where he led a group responsible for delivering Nextel's complex voice, data application and consulting service solutions. Mr. Clark was also co-founder of Leadiant, LLC, where he led a variety of clients to success in their business and IT initiatives.

Mr. Clark co-founded Leadiant after serving as an industry vice president at Proxicom, an Internet professional services firm, where he led numerous e-commerce initiatives for Fortune 500 clients. Prior to Proxicom, Mr. Clark was a senior manager at Andersen Consulting, specializing in large system integration projects. He joined Andersen after serving as a captain in the United States Air Force, where he managed large IT projects. Mr. Clark holds a B.S. in electrical engineering from Penn State University and an M.B.A. from Auburn University.

Betsy Cragon, Corporate Marketing

Betsy Cragon is responsible for GridPoint's brand strategy, advertising, public relations, marketing communications and brand integration of acquired companies. Ms. Cragon has over 15 years experience in marketing and has spent the majority of her career marketing technology companies.

Previously, Ms. Cragon founded Cragon Communications, a public relations firm focused on fueling the growth of technology start-ups as well as repositioning Fortune 500 technology products to address new markets. Prior to founding Cragon Communications, Ms. Cragon served as Director of Communications for Proxicom, an Internet professional services firm, where she directed brand strategy, public relations, advertising, marketing communications and investor relations programs. Ms. Cragon's efforts enabled Proxicom to claim the first Gold Clio awarded for Web site design, catapulting the company to the national stage. Four years later, Ms. Cragon’s marketing direction helped spur Proxicom's growth from a privately held company with $4 million in revenues to a successful public company.

Ms. Cragon's nonprofit experience includes the co-authoring of a 2000 Republican National Convention prime-time speech and the garnering of an exclusive interview with Barbara Walters. Ms. Cragon has been a featured speaker on public relations strategies for the Northern Virginia Technology Council and the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). She has held advertising and marketing positions with Rogers & Associates Advertising, an acquisition of TMP Worldwide, and The South Florida Newspaper Network. Ms. Cragon holds a B.S. in advertising from the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Kent State University.

Denis A. Curran, General Counsel

Denis A. Curran is General Counsel for GridPoint and is responsible for the company's legal affairs. Prior to GridPoint, Mr. Curran was Vice President and Assistant General Counsel of NeuStar, Inc., a provider of clearinghouse and directory services to the global communications and Internet industry. There he managed legal operations relating to corporate and securities matters, including M&A and financing activities, SEC compliance, and corporate governance.

Previously, Mr. Curran was an associate at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, where he represented a wide range of business organizations on corporate securities, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and general business and contract matters. Mr. Curran holds an A.B. from Princeton University and a J.D., with highest honors, from The George Washington University Law School. He is a member of the California, District of Columbia and Virginia bars.

John B. Spirtos, Corporate Development and Strategy

John B. Spirtos is responsible for GridPoint’s strategic development including new business initiatives, corporate partnerships, and mergers and acquisitions activity. Prior to GridPoint, Mr. Spirtos was Senior Vice President of Comverse Technology (NASDQ “COMV”), the leading billing and messaging software provider to the global communications industry. Previously, he was Senior Vice President of NeuStar, Inc. (NYSE “NSR”), a provider of clearinghouse and directory services to the communications and Internet industry, and President of Corvis Corporation and its wholly owned subsidiary, Broadwing Communications, LLC (NASDQ “BWNG”), an integrated communications equipment and services provider.

He holds a B.S. from the University of California, a J.D. from Southwestern University, and LL.M. and M.B.A. degrees from Georgetown University.

Tom Ulrich, Utility Sales

Tom Ulrich is responsible for leading all day-to-day utility sales efforts including revenue generation, channels management and overall customer satisfaction. Mr. Ulrich has more than 20 years of enterprise software sales and management experience and has played key roles in taking three privately held high-tech companies public.

Prior to GridPoint, Mr. Ulrich spent more than 10 years as a Sales Director with MicroStrategy, a provider of enterprise business intelligence products to the financial, telecommunications and utility industries. He helped lead it from a privately held company to one with a public valuation of over $20 billion in 2000. Previously, Mr. Ulrich served in a number of direct sales, sales management and product management roles for Intersolv, Genesys and Best Software.

Mr. Ulrich holds an M.B.A. in international business from George Washington University, where he received one of two university business fellowships in 1994, as well as a B.A. in marketing from Nazareth College in Rochester, N.Y.
