GridPoint CEO to Testify Before Senate on Alternative Energy Technologies

Peter L. Corsell on Panel to Discuss How Innovations Can Help Address America's' Energy Needs

WASHINGTON - June 14, 2006 - GridPoint, Inc.™, a provider of intelligent energy management (IEM) products, today announced that its President and CEO Peter L. Corsell will testify this morning during a hearing about alternative energy technologies before the United States Senate Subcommittee on Technology, Innovation, and Competitiveness, part of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation. The hearing takes place at 10 a.m. in room 562 of the Dirksen Senate office building.

Mr. Corsell joins panelists who will discuss how these emerging energy innovations can help address America's energy needs. They include Alan Gotcher, president and CEO, Altair Nanotechnologies; Francis Preli, vice president of engineering, UTC Power LLC; K.R. Sridhar, CEO, Ion America Corp.; Thomas Werner, CEO, SunPower Corp.; George Taylor, CEO, Ocean Power Technologies Inc.; and Daniel Raudebaugh, executive director, Center for Transportation and the Environment.

Prior to co-founding GridPoint, Mr. Corsell gained expertise within the energy industry as the Director for Energy Markets at Gemstar Group, Inc., where he directed the Photovoltaics Market Aggregation Initiative and developed strategies to expand existing markets for renewable energy. Previously he served with the U.S. State Department and the Central Intelligence Agency. He is a frequent lecturer on energy issues and holds a B.S.F.S. from Georgetown University.
