Programmable thermostats, pool pumps, smart outlets and appliances are responsive to real-time grid conditions. Utilities easily initiate peak demand strategies – accurately measuring, verifying and recruiting participation to meet reduction targets.

When demand spikes significantly, system-wide events can be executed to avoid expensive wholesale energy purchases. Localized peaking issues occurring at specific substations or feeders are easily addressed through targeted load management initiatives.

Sophisticated prediction algorithms provide day-ahead forecasts for residential load likely to be available for utility management. Demand response events can be planned in advance with automated scheduling supported through integration with utility back office and energy management systems.
