Green Quadrant Energy Management Software Report Highlights GridPoint in the Entrepreneurs Quadrant
Arlington, VA – April 8, 2014 – GridPoint, an innovator in comprehensive, data-driven energy management systems (EMS) that enable customers to optimize energy savings, facility efficiency and sustainability efforts, today announced that its energy management data analytics platform, GridPoint Energy Manager, has once again been named among the top 14 energy management software applications globally in the Green Quadrant Energy Management Software report by Verdantix, an independent analyst firm. More than 80 energy management software platforms were reviewed before the firm made its final selection. Based on the proprietary Verdantix Green Quadrant methodology, the analysis combines benchmark data from live product demonstrations, responses to a 130 point questionnaire and interviews with an independent panel of 15 customers representing firms with revenues of $348 billion. In the report, Verdantix placed GridPoint in the Entrepreneurs Quadrant with best-in-class capabilities for demand response and asset-level submetering, which contributed to GridPoint receiving the second highest score overall for its energy asset management. GridPoint also received the second highest score overall in project and portfolio management with Verdantix citing its dashboards for target setting and tracking that let users incorporate submetering data for continuous measurement of initiative performance against established targets and baselines. In the Entrepreneurs Quadrant specifically, GridPoint scored the highest of any firm on energy monitoring and targeting.
“Verdantix placed GridPoint among the top 14 for its energy asset management functionality and impressive demand response capabilities,” said Verdantix Industry Analyst, Alisdair McDougall, author of the report. “Retailers whose financial success depends on effectively managing energy while still accounting for the complexity of retail building operations would be wise to keep GridPoint on their shortlist of suppliers.”

GridPoint’s energy management solution is founded on Internet of Things technologies, including asset-level submetering, environmental monitoring and cloud-based big data analytics, which enable customers with varying energy footprints to achieve greater energy savings, carbon reduction, facility efficiency and capital utilization.
“We are honored to again be recognized as a leader with momentum in an independent, detailed and thorough analysis by one of the industry’s top experts,” said GridPoint president and CEO Todd M. Raba. “This recognition by Verdantix, and other esteemed analysts, is a consistent trend for us and validates our innovative approach in the marketplace.”
