Job Description

The Business Development Representative is accountable for pursuing knowledge and understanding of GridPoint’s product with the goal of qualifying prospects through cold calls and cold emails. This role will participate in sales initiatives, policies and programs in support of business plans and strategic objectives, necessary to meet annual department and individual goals.

 

Role Responsibilities

This role requires cold calling and cold emailing in order to set appointments for qualified leads.

Appointment Setting

  • New prospects will be provided on a continuous basis for cold calling and cold emailing
  • Qualify the prospects to make sure they are a good fit for GridPoint
  • Set up qualified appointments through cold calling and emailing efforts
  • Follow up with prospects that skipped out on the initial appointment

Follow Ups

  • Cold leads will be provided on a continuous basis for follow up
  • Follow up with cold leads to try to re-engage them through a follow up meeting
  • Leverage cold calling and cold emailing strategies to get cold leads back on the phone

 

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Demonstrate a competitive drive and desire to succeed in established goals
  • Proven cold calling and emailing experience
  • Track record of over-achieving quota
  • Attentive to details and able to follow processes
  • Strong phone presence and listening ability
  • Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools
  • Experience working with Salesforce.com or similar CRM
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent preferred
