Job Summary:

With an associate base of approximately 125 and plans to rapidly add to that base, GridPoint is in search of a dynamic individual to lead our company wide people and culture initiatives.  Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director of People and Culture will provide thought leadership coupled with a roll-up your sleeves attitude.  Duties will include onboarding new associates, evolving and implementing new policies, oversight of benefits, recruitment and development of talent, compensation and performance review management, and new system implementation.


Essential Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Handles all aspects of onboarding new associates
  • Partners with hiring managers on recruitment of new associates. Provides strategic guidance and tactical assistance on rapid and effective recruitment procedures
  • Interacts and communicates frequently with the associate base, developing a pulse of the associate base, and influences the culture of the business
  • Leads the design and implementation of employee benefit programs
  • Ensures compliance with all laws and regulations
  • Influences the design and manages the operation of compensation and performance review process
  • Collaborates with functional management on succession planning for critical roles
  • Develops and reports a metrics-based scorecard – turnover rates, reason codes, days to hire, etc.



  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • At least 7-10 years of progressive experience in people and culture for a technology business experiencing rapid growth
  • Relevant experience working closely with executive management across several functions with a track record of collaboration and success
  • Ability to develop a positive culture through continual interaction and communication with the associate base
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • A sense of urgency – meets challenges, goals and timelines
  • A working knowledge of associate benefits – health, 401k, and Paid Time Off
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement in recruitment and personnel matters
  • Comfortable in voicing and explaining viewpoint on decisions
  • Enthusiastic about change and change management. Able to effect change and drive results through leadership, collaboration, and influence
  • Ability to think strategically, but equally comfortable and able to dive into details and work independent as a sole contributor
  • Strong organizational skills including the ability to effectively manage time and resources
  • Self-motivated with focus on results and sense of urgency
