GridPoint Takes $120 Million

GridPoint, a provider of smart-grid technology, has snagged a hefty $120 million in its fifth-round funding.

The start-up has also agreed to buy V2Green, a developer of plug-in electric vehicle grid integration technology.

GridPoint didn’t name the participants in the round, but said the the lion’s share of the fresh cash came from existing investors, which include Goldman Sachs, New Enterprise Associates, Susquehanna Private Equity, Perella Weinberg Partners and Robeco
