Peter Corsell
Chairman & Founder

Peter Corsell is an investor and entrepreneur known for successfully bringing emerging technologies to market. MIT Technology Review recognized him as one of the world’s top innovators under age 35, the World Economic Forum named him a Young Global Leader, and the National Association of Corporate Directors included him on its inaugural list of leading directors under 40.

Corsell is a Partner at I Squared Capital, a leading global infrastructure investment firm with $40 billion of assets under management, where he leads the firms technology funds and is a member of the firms Operating Committee.

Prior to joining I Squared, Corsell was cofounder and Managing Partner at Twenty First Century Utilities, a private investment firm specializing in sustainability and technology in the electric power sector, which was acquired by I Squared in 2019.

Corsell is Chairman of Atlantic Power & Utilities, a leading power generation and infrastructure company with a well-diversified portfolio of assets across the United States and Canada. Corsell is also Chairman of GridPoint, a leading clean technology company, which he founded in 2003 and led as CEO until 2010. GridPoint has reduced energy consumption in commercial buildings by more than 7.5 billion kWh, saved its customers over $1 billion in costs, and avoided over 13 billion pounds of CO2 emissions.

Corsell has been a cofounder, board member and investor in several technology companies focused on clean technology, enterprise software, and cybersecurity. He has been interviewed on Charlie Rose and featured in several books including Hot, Flat, and Crowded by Tom Friedman, Perfect Power by Robert Galvin and Kurt Yeager, Earth: The Sequel by Fred Krupp, The Clean Tech Revolution by Ron Pernick and Clint Wilder, and Our Woman in Havana by Ambassador Vicki Huddleston.

Corsell also serves on the Board of Directors at Saige, Fermata Energy, and WealthCentral; and is a member of the Yale School of Architecture Dean’s Council. Earlier in his career, Corsell served with the Central Intelligence Agency and with the U.S. Department of State in Havana, Cuba. He holds a BSFS degree from the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University.

John Collins

John Collins is a proven senior executive with a strong track record of driving growth, improving operating efficiency, developing talent and effective teams resulting in enhanced shareholder returns.  He is a recognized expert in M&A, finance, risk management, strategy, energy and derivatives markets and transaction structuring.

Most recently, Collins served as President and CEO of Cube Hydro Partners, an owner and operator of hydroelectric facilities in the U.S.  He grew the company through five acquisitions; from the initial development of a 6 MW hydroelectric facility in western Pennsylvania to the ownership and operations of 19 plants totaling 385 MWs located in five states generating 1.5 million MWhs per year.  Under his leadership, Cube Hydro successfully reduced operating costs by 30% while significantly improving overall operating performance.  Collins led the negotiations and closing of the sale of the company to a U.S.-based subsidiary of Ontario Power Generation for $1.1 billion, which closed in October 2019.

Previously, Collins spent 22 years with Constellation Energy Group, a Fortune 125 diversified energy company, serving as Chief Financial Officer, Chief Risk Officer and Senior Vice President of Integration.  He led the sale of 49% of Constellation’s nuclear generation business to EDF for $4.5 billion, and was the architect of Baltimore Gas & Electric Company’s 72% rate increase settlement with the Maryland legislature.  Prior to joining the holding company, Collins was a founding member and CFO of Constellation Energy’s merchant energy business, which grew to become the largest competitive energy supplier in the U.S., and held several financial leadership positions in Baltimore Gas & Electric Company.

Collins also served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Constellation Energy Partners, a publicly traded natural gas exploration and production company.  He is a founding member and former Chairman of the Committee of Chief Risk Officers (CCRO), which was formed following the collapse of Enron to establish and promote best practices in risk management.

Collins holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Delaware (where he was inducted into the university’s “Wall of Fame”) and an M.B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh.

Kevin Crull

Kevin Crull has delivered growth and transformation across several multi-billion dollar businesses in a variety of industries. Leveraging his roots in sales, marketing and product management, he has driven superior execution, strategic M&A, and has built teams who consistently outperform expectations and their competition.

Most recently, Crull served as Sprint’s Chief Strategy Officer, overseeing corporate strategy and business development. In this role he guided the company’s 5G program cross-functionally, evaluated a range of strategic options for the company, helped consummate the T-Mobile merger agreement, and then led integration planning.

Crull joined Sprint as Chief Marketing Officer, where he was recognized as the third most influential global marketer in 2015 by Forbes, ScribbleLive and LinkedIn. As President of Omnichannel Sales, he also led Sprint’s 5,000 company-owned and dealer-owned retail stores, telesales, digital, and national retail channels.

Prior to Sprint, Crull served for nearly five years as President & CEO of Bell Media, Canada’s largest media and broadcasting company, operating conventional TV, Cable TV, Radio, Outdoor, and digital assets in both English and French. He led the acquisition of CTV Globemedia in late 2010, which created the foundation for Bell Media Inc. Following that, he acquired and integrated Astral Media and made strategic investments in MLSE and the Montreal Canadiens.

Before Bell Media, Crull served as President of Bell Residential Services, Canada’s largest consumer telecommunications company, providing high-speed broadband, internet services, home phone, and satellite & fiber television service. He also led the consumer and small business divisions at AT&T and US West/Qwest Communications. Earlier in his career, Crull served in a variety of executive positions during nine years at Nestle USA. He holds a B.S. in Marketing from The Ohio State University and an M.B.A. from the University of San Francisco.

Dan Gold is the Chief Executive Officer, managing partner and founder of QVT Financial LP, an asset management company with offices in New York, Palo Alto and New Delhi. He founded the QVT group at Deutsche Bank shortly after joining in 1992, having previously worked as a proprietary trader at Daiwa Securities America (Assistant Vice President from 1990 to 1992) and at Bear, Stearns & Co. Thomas Kloster, Chief Financial Officer, is a strategic finance executive with over three decades of experience enhancing the performance of tech-enabled businesses. As CFO of Gridpoint, Mr. Kloster is responsible for partnering with and supporting the company’s leaders to drive growth of our industry-leading intelligent network while directly overseeing all financial matters. He is focused on optimizing GridPoint’s financial structure to support the company’s rapid growth, driving cost initiatives, evaluating corporate and business development opportunities and managing investor relationships.

Throughout his career, Mr. Kloster has successfully enhanced the performance of multiple SaaS based tech-enabled businesses resulting in strategic sales or public equity offerings. He also has extensive experience leading corporate finance functions, raising debt and equity capital, and negotiating and integrating mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Brabender brings over 15 years of revenue and financial experience to GridPoint. Prior to joining, he served as the CRO for SMS Assist, LLC, VP of New Business Development for PRGX Global, Inc., and EVP of Global Sales for ServiceChannel.com, Inc., where he was responsible for high-growth sales

As EVP of Sales and Customer Success at ServiceChannel, an industry-leading SaaS platform for facilities management, Mr. Brabender oversaw the growth and development of the Go-To-Market team for a company that was sold to Fortive last summer for $1.2B. His teams included enterprise sales, mid-market sales, inside sales, solution architecture, marketing, customer success, and channel sales.

As CRO for SMS Assist, an industry leader in tech-enabled facilities services, Mr. Brabender was responsible for building out the Go-To-Market teams that included enterprise sales, solution consulting, inside sales, marketing, customer success, and sales ops. During his tenure, the team grew by 10x and was able to drive unprecedented growth and customer acquisition.

Mike Ratliff is the chief technology officer at GridPoint, a leader in building energy management and optimization technology that decarbonizes commercial buildings and drives grid modernization. With three decades of experience in technology, Mr. Ratliff oversees GridPoint’s software, hardware, and firmware as well as product strategy and IT. He is focused on translating complex technical topics for business decision-making.

Previously, Mr. Ratliff served as chief technology officer at Comverge, a leader in integrated cloud-based demand response and energy efficiency, where he built an entire software development department and platform from the ground up and tightly integrated the hardware and software teams. As chief technology officer at Enbala, an aggregator of distributed energy resources, he was responsible for re-platforming and commercializing utility-directed distributed energy resource management systems. At CPower, Mr. Ratliff served as senior vice president of Utility Solutions, where he expanded a traditional demand response model into a utility-directed effort.

Jason Narod is the Chief Sales Officer at GridPoint, a leader in building energy management and optimization technology that decarbonizes commercial buildings and drives grid modernization. Mr. Narod has a proven track record of building and managing high-performing customer facing organizations in both established and early stage technology companies. He brings over a decade of experience in the energy industry to GridPoint where he is responsible for leading the strategy and execution of all customer-facing activity.

Previously, Mr. Narod managed business development at NRG Energy, a Fortune 500 power company. He also served as Director of Commercial Business Development at Locus Energy, where he helped grow the company from a small startup to the largest independent provider of solar asset monitoring solutions in the United States.

Mr. Narod earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Maryland and a Master of Business Administration from the New York University Leonard N. Stern School of Business.

Thomas Nelson is General Counsel and Senior Vice President for GridPoint and is responsible for the company’s legal affairs. Previously, Mr. Nelson was Of Counsel at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, where he represented clients on a variety of intellectual property and litigation matters. Prior to that, Mr. Nelson performed engineering, sales, and marketing roles at organizations in the electronics sector. Mr. Nelson holds a B.S in Electrical Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University and a J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law. He is a member of the New York, District of Columbia and Virginia bars and is a registered patent attorney.
